Bol was born in Frankfurt, from a couple of two cultures. Learning Urdu from German was nearly impossible: why grind through a foreign alphabet just to talk to family? So we built the app we wished we'd had: a language-learning app without the script. "Bol" means "speak" in Urdu and Hindi, and that's the whole point.
